What We Collect
Goodmood does not collect or transmit any personal data. The app captures your screen locally on your device solely to apply visual color filters in real time. No screen content ever leaves your device. Your settings and presets are stored only on your own device.
Screen Recording Permission
Goodmood is image-processing software that sits between your screen and your eyes. Up to 120 times per second, it reads each frame displayed on your screen, processes it on the GPU, and instantly renders a color-adjusted version in real time. The goal is simple: create a better screen experience tailored to how your eyes and brain feel.
macOS requires Screen Recording permission for this kind of real-time display access. It is a technical requirement, not an indication that anything is being stored or shared. Frames are never written to disk, uploaded, or transmitted to any server. Everything happens in memory, on your device, in the moment.
Subscription & Payments
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple via the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. Goodmood's filtering works entirely offline; the only time the app uses the network is Apple's App Store, to show prices and handle optional purchases, and no personal information is sent from the app. To manage a subscription, open the App Store app on your Mac, click your name, and choose Account Settings, then Manage next to Subscriptions.
Third-Party Services
We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
Children
Goodmood is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy occasionally. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
